Sian Botteley

Sian is another highly experienced rider joining us in 2025.

Sian followed her Dad into racing bikes via their local club, and began racing Cyclo-cross at the age of 15. She tells us she was useless to begin with, not sure we believe that, but after winning a tenner in her first race as the only girl entry she was motivated to return the next week. When she beat someone that week she was bitten by the competitive bug and the rest is history.

Cycling takes Sian to amazing places that she wouldn’t otherwise see, and she loves exploring the world one bike ride at a time, meeting new people with the same interests and sharing her passion and experiences with them. Racing in a good team environment feels like traveling, and riding with her mates and Sian enjoys the process of improving herself and achieving team objectives.

With notable performances across a wide range of races in the UK and across Europe, Sian prefers a technical course where her bike handling skills are an advantage, multiple top 10 finishes at the Cicle Classic are her biggest achievements to date, she also possesses a strong sprint finish when needed.
Given her experience and like for technical courses, it’s no surprise to hear Sian would love to race the Belgian classics and be in the mix at the finish.

Whilst preferring to ride on the road year round, cleaning up after muddy winter rides has lost it’s attraction for Sian and she finds herself training more on the turbo-trainer although she’s likely to be the quiet one in the team, preferring to train without music.

And away from the bike, Sian works in a local bike shop, coaches and loves to bake.

Sian’s experience and skill will be a huge asset to the team this year and we’re all excited to see what we can achieve together.
