Rick Lister
Team manager Rick Lister has a rich history in British cycling, both as a competitor and a team manager, he has been active in the cycling community for several decades.
As a cyclist, Lister participated in various disciplines, including road racing MTB and cyclo-cross. Notably earning his 1st Category licence and securing a divisional championship in criterium racing along with multiple Lincolnshire Cyclo Cross titles.
Transitioning from athlete to manager, Lister worked as a sports director for Team WNT, Ford Eco-Boost, NJC Biemme and Velo Performance before he founded the Finish Line Racing (Pro-Noctis–Redchilli Bikes–Heidi Kjeldsen) team in 2021. Under his guidance, the team quickly became a significant presence in British cycling, in 2024 the team stepped up to continental level allowing the participation in major events like the Tour of Britain Women. However, in 2024, the team faced challenges when the main sponsor, Pro-Noctis, announced its withdrawal after four years of support.
Under Lister’s leadership, the Smurfit Westrock Cycling Team has ambitious plans to expand its international race calendar and attract riders with global experience. His commitment to women’s cycling and innovative management strategies continue to drive the team’s success and growth.
