Lucy Nelson
As well as a developing her road career, Lucy brings an impressive track pedigree to the team in 2025, finding great success in the Six Day series across Europe.
Learning bike handling skills at her local club Lichfield CCC at the age of 6 Lucy, along with her three siblings, was soon racing. After a few years away from the bike she rediscovered her love of cycling, the freedom it brings and the potential for training to help her improve.
Unsurprisingly given her track success, Lucy enjoys speed and will surely be designated the team’s sprinter this year.
Lucy’s biggest achievement to date is victory on the track in London and racing the iconic Six Days of Ghent, her dream is racing the world championships.
Away from her bike Lucy is completing her Masters Degree in Urban Planning but finds time to teach swimming, taking a nap in her recovery periods!
Naturally Lucy takes to the turbo-trainer in winter, apparently loving turbo intervals! but is happy to just click shuffle on her Spotify ‘liked’ playlist.
We’re all very excited to watch Lucy’s progress on the track and help her further transfer those skills to the road, we’ll be trying to hang on in those sprint finishes!
