Lucy Glover
Another new rider for 2025, Lucy joins as a young rider with a great deal of experience racing a variety of events across Europe. As well as on the road, she also races on the track as a member of the Podium Potential Great Britain squad.
The youngest of starters, Lucy was put on a bike by her Dad at just 18 months old and has always found enjoyment on two wheels, dreaming of her bike taking her to the Olympics one day.
With the constant support and encouragement of her Dad, Lucy began racing locally, improving as she got older and seeing improvement in her performances. She’s grown and learned a great deal from those early races, has ridden nearly every discipline from BMX to Cyclo-cross and has now developed into a promising track rider and sprinter with big ambitions.
In 2023 Lucy sprinted to victory at the Dudley Grand Prix becoming the youngest winner of a National Circuit Series race, her biggest achievement to date, despite also being a multiple Junior National Champion on the track.
Unsurprisingly Lucy loves the thrill and adrenaline rush at the end of a race, opening up her sprint in front of a crowd, especially in crit races and on the velodrome.
Lucy joins the turbo-training fans in the team, another lover of tough efforts and digging really deep, although she will still get out in the winter weather when she can. Motivation comes from a playlist of heavy beats, which also helps to get in the zone before a race and when doing horrible bike efforts.
Away from the bike Lucy works in her parent’s cafe, enjoys painting, starting new crafts and also really enjoys spending time in the gym even if it is still training!
Lucy’s another rider we’re really excited to have joined us this season and we’re looking forward to helping her achieve those goals.
