Alex Morrice

Alex joins us for the 2025 season following two years at the Women’s World Tour team Canyon//SRAM bringing valuable experience racing at the highest level of women's cycling.

A winner of the coveted Zwift Academy, she started her competitive cycling journey relatively recently in 2022. She progressed quickly on the road, demonstrating her natural talent, and following her years on a World Tour squad as a loyal domestique, is keen to pick up some of her own results at the UCI Continental level.

After a quick introduction to triathlon in her first year at University, Alex’s training went onto weekly Zwift rides with her Morgan Stanley placement work colleagues as well as racing in the Zwift Racing League. Yet, it was the cycling club at the University of Bath which formed Alex’s introduction to the real world competitive aspect of the sport. Encouraged by her club teammates, she started racing local criteriums, won her first race and never looked back. She joined a domestic UK team and in her first National A race (and second ever road race), she placed 2nd at the Lancaster GP followed by a top 10 GC at the Ras na mBan.

In 2022 Alex won the Zwift Academy and joined Canyon//SRAM WWT, racing across the world in some of the most prestigious races, winning her first UCI points along the way.

Alex describes herself as a punchy, determined, versatile rider, excelling across different terrain and enjoying racing most when she's giving everything and pushing herself to the limits, celebrating team successes.

Happiest when she's outside on the bike in all but the most inclement weather, mixing her winter training with running and regular gym sessions.

In between training, racing and trips abroad, Alex tutors Maths, Physics and Chemistry GCSE and A level. She loves how rewarding it is to have a positive impact on students' learning by mentoring their studies and helping guide their career choices.

Loud and motivational is Alex’s go-to training playlist of choice, and when away from the bike, she enjoys spending time with family and friends.

Alex’s experience and motivation is an invaluable asset to the team in 2025 and we’re all wishing her the very best in achieving her goals.
